Karen Blowers Memorial
Karen, a member of our intercessory prayer team, went home to be with her Lord on December 29th, 2010 due to a sudden heart attack. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. House of Hope was blessed in great measure by the sowing of Karen's gifts and life into our ministry! She was very involved in House of Hope in many ways. She was a priceless addition to our INTO THE WILDFLOWERS program in that she lovingly created journals for our sexually abused girls and women, made amazing totes for them, and helped us purchase the teddy bears we give to the girls. She came often and shared her personal testimony with the girls and gave them copies of an amazing poem she wrote about her own personal healing journey. She was such a blessing in helping to put together menu plans for our weekend retreats, as well as cooking and preparing the meals and loving on each girl at the retreat, as well as being so nurturing to us as a staff.
January 29, 2011 there will be a memorial service for Karen at Radiant Church at 8157 East DE Ave., Richland, Mi 49083 at 11 AM. After the service there will be a luncheon at the Community Hall at Eagle Ridge Apartments located at 801 Tecumseh Rd Battle Creek, MI 49037.
Karen has asked that donations be made to House of Hope S.W. Michigan in her memory. She is still sowing into the Kingdom in for the Glory of her Lord! We love you, Karen!
