It was March 3, 2003, when I first met Val Norton. It was a special time
of prayer and intercession, meeting in her home with other women, for the
nation and the Body of Christ. After being with Val and these women of
prayer, I knew I wanted to be part of their lives. Since that time in
2003, I have heard, seen, been part of the passion Val has for young
teens who are living troubled lives. She has stepped out in faith to
begin a House of Hope, a national program for hurting teens, for South
West Michigan. Her compassion is so stirring to start this South West
Michigan House of Hope (SWMHOH), that when I was asked to be part of it
as the Head Intercessor it was too compelling for me not to be involved.
With Val, and others, I have prayed for many teens who have come to her
home for help. GOD has placed within Val such a love for these teens
that they are drawn to her heart of intense caring. I believe in Val,
and her husband John, in starting this SWMHOH so much that I am
financially involved more than with anything else.
John and Val are stalwarts of faith in their love and compassion for
teens that they are resolved as one with GOD for this SWMHOH to come to
pass.
